A rogue convoy, a chrome beast, and hidden vaults: this guide maps where GTA V’s most unique wheels lurk, and how to snag them before the city’s clock runs out.
The military base – Fort Zancudo is a limitless source of military equipment. You can find there the tank,P-996 Lazer jet and choppers, among others. Watch out, however, because each instance of breaking into the fort results in a four-start pursuit. The tank goes out of the fort on patrols so, you can wait for it right outside of the gate (this does not raise the alarm if you do not cross the barrier) and attempt seizing it when it is close. When it comes to jets and choppers, you should look for them in the runway.
Nagasaki Blazer – an unique ATV. After you complete the game, you will receive a message from Ron, while playing as Trevor. He will inform you that he left a present for you next to the trailer. Visit your Savehouse to claim the ATV.
Space Docker – An alien car. This is where you meet Omega and start the quest of collecting the 50 parts of the alien spaceship. After you have collected all of the parts and given them back to Omega, you will watch a cutscene, in which you enter the garage. The car is in the garage and you can take it after the cutscene ends.
FIB SUV and Buffalo – in the region of the huge satellite dishes, you start a little event. You will find there the FIB Buffalo and the FIB SUV. Stealing them will not result in any stars, but the nearby agents will react to this and start fire. If you wait for a moment, they will start a quarrel after they meet up and will start firing at each other.
HVY Dump – Huge dump trucks used by the nearby workers. A non-operating one can be found on the elevation.
Park Ranger – A vehicle of forest rangers. You can find it behind the gate of the array complex.
Addler – Several tens of meters to the south of the nearby clothes store. You can find it parked right at the Addlers street. The car which you would purchase for the “mere” one million dollars!
The Buzzard chopper – A military chopper. Much easier to obtain than in Fort zacundo. It is on the rooftop of the government building. You do not receive a star for intruding. All of the doors will also be automatically opened, once you approach them. To ma it onto the rooftop, you need to take the ladder at the back of the building.
Lifeguard, Vapid SandKing – A lifeguards’ vehicle. At the same beach, directly to the left of the fun fair, you can also find the Vapid SandKing XL off-truck.
Los Santos Airport – The airport is another location where you can obtain airplanes. Here, you can find Luxor and Shamal, among others, and purchasing these would cost you as much as 3 million dollars. You need to remember that, if you do not own a hangar at the airport, entering will result in receiving three stars.
This section of the Grand Theft Auto Vgame guide describes the locations of unique vehicles. Our GTA 5 guide will tell you what sort of vehicle you’re dealing with and what are its unique features (e.g. installed weapons).
Some special vehicles, like tanks, jet aeroplane or luxury, unique car, may be bought in the Internet. Then, they appear in your garage or hangar. But they are extremely expensive, so if you want to omit that incredible spending, you can just steal the vehicle you’re interested in. On the map you can see list of places with unique vehicles, which cannot be found on the street. If the vehicle isn’t there, move away and return after a while or change the character and try again. If it doesn’t work, return in other time or perform a mission.
Best spawn locations for rare supercars in story mode
Rockford Hills and Vinewood Hills offer the best spawn locations for rare supercars in GTA 5 story mode, where high-end vehicles like the Truffade Adder, Zentorno, and Turismo R frequently appear, especially at night. These affluent areas cycle through premium cars reliably when driving slowly or switching characters to refresh spawns. Specific spots include the street near Ponsonbys by Michael’s house and the multi-level red parking lot under the highway.
Top Spawn Zones
-
Rockford Hills (near LS Customs and Ponsonbys): Adder spawns consistently on Portola Drive; drive loops or wait 5-10 minutes post-character swap.
-
Vinewood Hills parking lots: Pink Massacro and other tuned supercars appear in red lots near the LS Customs by Rockford Hill.
-
Richman area garages: Paparazzi chase garage and nearby streets yield Zentorno or Entity XF reliably.
Spawning Tips
Visit between 10 PM and 6 AM in-game for highest supercar rates, as daytime favors sedans. Switch between Franklin, Michael, or Trevor every few minutes to force respawns, then store vehicles in a garage immediately. Sunny weather boosts odds for some variants like the Hot Rod Blazer, but persistence works best.
Best times of day for rare supercar spawns in story mode
Nighttime provides the best opportunities for rare supercar spawns in GTA 5 story mode, particularly between 10 PM and 6 AM in-game time when affluent areas favor high-end vehicles over sedans. Specific models like the Pegassi Zentorno or Grotti Turismo R appear more reliably after dark in spots such as West Vinewood garages. Daytime can yield some variants, but persistence drops significantly outside evening hours.
Optimal Time Windows
-
10 PM – 6 AM: Prime for Adder, Entity XF, and Massacro in Rockford Hills and Vinewood Hills; night boosts spawn rates in parking structures.
-
7 PM – 2 AM: Good for Pegassi Infurnus and similar rares near Michael’s house or LS Customs.
-
Daytime (less reliable): Turismo R or Jester in Pillbox Hill garages, but requires more loops.
Maximizing Spawns
Switch characters every 5 minutes to refresh traffic, drive slowly in target zones like the red multi-level lot under the highway, and advance time if needed via sleeping or travel. Sunny weather pairs well with these timings for consistent results. Store finds immediately to secure them permanently.
