Michael De Santa’s journey into the bizarre world of the Epsilon Program takes a wild turn in “Assuming the Truth”, where enlightenment comes with a price—five luxury vehicles, to be exact. Tasked with stealing an eclectic mix of cars for a cult that promises freedom but reeks of absurdity, Michael must navigate between skepticism and compliance in this quirky Grand Theft Auto V side mission. Will he embrace his new identity as “Zolag,” or is the truth just another con?
Availability: Michael
Location: This mission becomes available after you complete the Accepting the Truth side mission. Wait for an e-mail from Marnie, open it and click on the link contained in it, thanks to which you will visit the www.epsilonprogam.com site again. Select the option of donating $5000 to the cult’s account.
NOTE: If you are playing the basic version of the game (no patches installed) you need to mind the fact that there is a serious glitch in the game, which may make you unable to unlock the remaining missions connected with the Epsilonist cult. I recommend that you save the game before you start this mission and save again only after the completion of the ENTIRE mission, i.e. at earliest, after you receive another e-mail message from Marnie (after you steal all five means of transport).
The spot where you meet Marnie
You now need to wait patiently, until near the airport, there appears the cult symbol in the Northern part of the map (to the North of Sandy Shores). (letter E on the world map). After you get there, (the Grapeseed location) have another conversation with Marnie to learn that Marnie desires Michael to acquire four rare car models and one rare motorcycle for her. Wait for an e-main from Marnie which is going to include the names and the pictures of the vehicles in question. The game will not point you to specific places where you can steal the vehicles that the cultists are interested in. Therefore, you will have to find them on your own. Note -detailed information on the available means of transport are contained in the “GTA V – Maps and collectibles” guide.

You need to deliver all of the stolen means of transport to the garage adjacent to one of the estates in the central Vinewood. After you have performed all of the actions, DO NOT SAVE the game and wait for confirmation from Marnie (the above screenshot). The result of this message should be unlocking the next mission automatically.
What makes the Epsilon Program missions so intriguing
The Epsilon Program missions in GTA 5 captivate players with their satirical, absurd, and mysterious take on cult behavior. Here’s what makes them so intriguing:
-
Satirical Humor: The missions parody real-world cults and exploitative organizations, blending dark humor with bizarre tasks like stealing luxury cars, running miles in robes, or finding alien artifacts2.
-
Mystery and Absurdity: The cult’s cryptic beliefs, like being descended from a sponge or the denial of dinosaurs, create an air of surrealism. Players are drawn into unraveling the nonsensical yet oddly compelling lore2.
-
Player Choice and Rewards: The final mission presents a moral dilemma—betray the cult for $2.1 million or stay loyal for a rusty tractor—adding depth and replayability to the storyline.
This mix of satire, mystery, and player agency makes the Epsilon Program a standout questline in GTA 5.
What is the significance of the Epsilon robes in the missions
The Epsilon robes hold significant symbolic and gameplay importance in the GTA 5 Epsilon Program missions:
-
Symbol of Submission: Wearing the robes for 10 consecutive in-game days during the mission “Bearing the Truth” represents Michael’s submission to the cult’s eccentric doctrines. It reinforces the satirical critique of blind faith and conformity within the Epsilon storyline4.
-
Gameplay Challenge: The requirement to wear the robes without switching characters or engaging in activities that force a wardrobe change (e.g., sports or heists) adds a layer of difficulty. This forces players to dedicate time and strategize to progress, such as using time-skipping techniques like saving without actually saving4.
-
Immersion and Interaction: The robes unlock unique dialogue interactions and experiences, such as NPCs addressing Michael with cult-specific phrases like “Kifflom.” This enhances immersion by making the player feel integrated into the cult’s world4.
Overall, the robes are a clever narrative and gameplay device that deepen the absurdity and satire of the Epsilon missions.
