Upon arrival, adventurers will encounter a magical barrier protecting a golden chest, which contains valuable loot. To safely access this treasure, players need to solve a puzzle that involves interacting with the environment and possibly defeating or avoiding the formidable Owlbear that guards the area. Additionally, Selune’s shrine can be found nearby, offering a serene spot dedicated to the goddess of the moon, where players can engage in various quests and uncover more lore related to Selune’s influence in the game.

Finding the prayer sheet

To find the Selûnite Prayer Sheet in Baldur’s Gate 3, players must head to the Owlbear Nest, where it is located behind a statue of Selûne. Accessing the sheet requires a successful Perception check, as it is somewhat hidden from view. Once discovered, reading the prayer sheet in front of a nearby gilded chest will unlock it, allowing players to acquire valuable items within. This interaction emphasizes the importance of exploration and attention to detail in the game, as players must engage with their environment to progress.

  1. You need to jump to a shelf next to the shrine – choose jump from bonus actions and the other side of the chasm as the landing spot.

  1. Choose the party member with highest Perception and examine the area behind the shrine.
  2. Successful completion of a Perception check will reveal a Selunite Prayer Sheet. Press RMB and choose to pick it up.

Reading the prayer sheet

In the quest to unlock the Gilded Chest near the Owlbear Nest in Baldur’s Gate 3, players will encounter the Selûnite Prayer Sheet. This important item can be found nearby and is crucial for accessing the chest. To read the prayer sheet, players must succeed on a Religion check, which allows them to understand its contents. The prayer sheet contains a handwritten invocation to Selûne, the Moonmaiden, and serves as a key to unlocking the chest’s treasures. Notably, while any character can read the prayer, Shadowheart, who follows Shar, cannot utilize it to unlock the chest.

  1. Return to the gilded chest and place the hero who has the sheet close to it.
  2. Open the inventory and choose to read the contents of the sheet, which is a prayer. If you were close enough to the chest the magical aura will be dispelled. You can now open the chest safely.
