Otis Skinner, the ruthless leader of the Skinner Brothers gang, is wanted dead or alive in Red Dead Redemption 2. This bounty hunting mission plunges players into the heart of danger, tracking a man infamous for unspeakable atrocities near Manzanita Post. Whether you choose to capture him alive or end his reign of terror, the journey is fraught with ambushes, eerie discoveries, and moral dilemmas that test your honor in John Marston’s epilogue.
This Bounty Hunting mission is available only during the epilogue after you complete Gainful Employment main mission (you have to help Sadie catch a bounty). Complete that mission to unlock new Bounty Hunting missions (these ones aren’t mandatory). Otis Skinner’s wanted poster is in the jail in Blackwater. Take the poster (it hangs on the notice board) and listen to the sheriff’s comment – the man tells you more about this bounty and gives you the approximate location of Skinner Brothers gang.
Examine Manzanita Post west of Blackwater. Your goal is to reach Skinner Brothers camp in the forest.
If you want to kill Otis, just eliminate every single bandit in the camp. Otherwise, pay attention to the mini-map – Otis is marked with a different icon. Thanks to that you won’t kill him by mistake.
Watch out for a single dog – it will charge at you. Try to kill the animal before it gets close to you.
What makes Otis Skinner a particularly challenging bounty
Otis Skinner is a particularly challenging bounty in Red Dead Redemption 2 due to his status as a leader of the Skinner Brothers, a gang notorious for their brutality and gruesome crimes. His ambush-heavy tactics, combined with the gang’s violent and unpredictable nature, make approaching him highly dangerous. Players often encounter disturbing scenes at Skinner camps, such as mutilated bodies and unsettling traps, adding psychological tension to the mission. Furthermore, Skinner’s agility and the gang’s relentless attacks during his capture heighten the difficulty of bringing him in alive or dead.
