In the vast, lawless world of Red Dead Redemption 2, a choice made early on can lead to a thrilling encounter later in the game. If you spared the notorious Anthony Foreman during the tumultuous events of Chapter 4, he becomes a bounty worth capturing alive in the epilogue. As John Marston, you’ll embark on a perilous mission to track down Foreman in the seedy underbelly of Saint Denis, navigating the city’s treacherous streets to bring him to justice. Will you succeed in this high-stakes hunt, or will Foreman evade capture once again?
This task becomes available only after you have completed the campaign’s epilogue, namely after completing the main task of the epilogue entitled Gainful Employment (the main character helps Sadie to catch one of the fugitives). Finishing the main mission unlocks the next, this time optional, bounty hunting contracts.
The starting point of this contract is the arrest in Saint Denis. Pull off the poster from the bulletin board and listen to the comments of a police officer who will take a look at the saloon in the Saint Denis slums. Go to this location.
After entering the saloon, ask the bartender about the Foreman. The man sits in the adjacent room and immediately rushes to escape. Run out of the building to get him.
Once on the street, quickly summon your mount or “borrow” another one. Chase Anthony Foreman. It’s very simple, but be careful not to collide with any of the inhabitants of Saint Denis.
What are the main challenges in catching Anthony Foreman
Catching Anthony Foreman in Red Dead Redemption 2 presents several challenges:
-
Location and Initial Encounter: Foreman is hiding in a saloon in the Saint Denis slums. Upon being discovered, he quickly escapes, prompting a chase through the city’s crowded streets.
-
Chase Dynamics: The pursuit requires navigating through Saint Denis while avoiding collisions with pedestrians and other obstacles. This demands quick reflexes and strategic use of your mount.
-
Lassoing Foreman: Once close enough, you must successfully lasso Foreman to subdue him. This can be tricky if he is moving quickly or if you are not skilled with the lasso.
-
Returning to Custody: After capturing Foreman, you need to transport him back to the Saint Denis jail without incident, which can be challenging if you encounter hostile characters or other distractions.
-
Previous Encounters and Consequences: Depending on your previous interactions with Foreman, such as sparing him in earlier missions, his capture might have different implications for the storyline.
What strategies can I use to catch Anthony Foreman quickly
To catch Anthony Foreman quickly in Red Dead Redemption 2, consider these strategies:
-
Quickly Locate Him: Start by pulling off the bounty poster at the Saint Denis Police Department and listening to the officer’s hint about his location in the Saint Denis slums. Head to the saloon and ask the bartender about Foreman2.
-
Prepare Your Mount: Before entering the saloon, ensure you have a fast horse nearby. This will save time when Foreman escapes and you need to chase him.
-
Efficient Chase: During the chase, avoid colliding with pedestrians and other obstacles. Use your horse’s speed and agility to keep up with Foreman without causing unnecessary delays.
-
Effective Lassoing: Equip your lasso and practice using it before the chase. When you get close enough to Foreman, quickly lasso him to subdue him. This requires good timing and positioning.
-
Safe Return: Once you have Foreman bound and on a horse, be cautious during the return to the jail. Avoid confrontations with other characters and keep a steady pace to ensure a smooth delivery.
