Chasing the Truth — The Epsilon Program’s Mission in GTA 5 Gold Medal

Guides

In the shadowy world of Grand Theft Auto V, truth is a slippery concept—especially when chasing it leads to alien artifacts and cult conspiracies. Dive into “Chasing the Truth,” a surreal journey through the Epsilon Program’s bizarre demands, where Michael De Santa must uncover extraterrestrial relics without relying on high-tech gadgets. Will you embrace enlightenment or unravel the absurdity? The choice is yours.

The place where you meet up with Marnie again

Availability: Michael

Location: This mission becomes available after you complete the Accepting the Truth mission. Wait for an e-mail message from Marnie and reach the farm in the Grapeseed location, to the North of Sandy Shades, again. Listen to the conversation with Marnie and Jimmy Boston, from whom you will receive a detector for finding the traces of supernatural beings.

The plan is that you locate three different items and you need to know that, if you use the detector (targeting trigger/button) you will be unable to complete this mission in 100%. As a result, I recommend that you reach the places presented in the successive screenshots, without using this device. The first object that you are looking for is the TV set.

The second one is a white box the whereabouts shown in the screenshot).

The third item that you are looking for is a shoe (the whereabouts shown in the screenshot). After you have located all three items, listen to the conversation with Marnie and Jim. Rewards for the completion of the mission:

  1. New contact on Michael’s contacts list: Jimmy Boston
  2. Use the Force – You need to locate all three items without using the detector.

What are the most challenging parts of the Epsilon missions

The most challenging parts of the Epsilon missions in GTA V include:

  • Exercising the Truth: This mission requires Michael to run 5 miles wearing the cult’s robes. It is tedious and time-consuming, as players must manually sprint across the map without shortcuts2.

  • Vehicle Collection in Assuming the Truth: Players must locate and deliver five specific vehicles to a garage. Finding these vehicles can be difficult, especially if relying on random spawns rather than purchasing them. Additionally, delivering them in pristine condition adds to the challenge2.

  • Unknowing the Truth: The final mission involves choosing between keeping $2.1 million or returning it to the cult for an old tractor. The decision impacts gameplay rewards and requires careful consideration of priorities2.

What are the funniest moments in the Epsilon missions

The funniest moments in the Epsilon missions of GTA V include:

  • Running Aimlessly in the Desert: In “Exercising the Truth,” Michael is forced to run five miles in cult robes through the desert, with no real purpose other than fulfilling the cult’s bizarre demands. The absurdity of this task, combined with Michael’s visible frustration, makes it hilariously pointless.

  • Losing Money to a Cult: Throughout the missions, Michael donates large sums of money to the Epsilon Program, only to receive cryptic and nonsensical guidance in return. Watching him willingly drain his finances for such dubious enlightenment highlights the satire of blind faith.

  • The Final Choice: In “Unknowing the Truth,” Michael has to decide between keeping $2.1 million or returning it for a rusty tractor. The sheer ridiculousness of this choice encapsulates the humor and absurdity of the entire storyline.
