Initially, he will refuse to talk, threatening that if you don’t leave him alone, he will kill you. Therefore, start with visiting Boggart. He is involved in a quest from Rya. This NPC will ask you to retrieve the medallion.

Once you got the necklace (you need to purchase it) and restart the location, you’ll receive the ability to buy Boiled Prawns from him. Buying the prawn will make Boggart like you, pushing the plotline forward.

In order to convince the Dung Eater to talk, you first need to get an item that is closely related to his mission, i.e. the Seedbed Curse .

The first is in Leyndell, the Royal Capital , in the area marked by the arrow. The fastest way to travel there from East Capital Rampart site of grace.

From there go straight ahead, then turn left towards the priests with trumpets. Then, follow the big gargoyle and enter the room. There is an elevator in the room.

Descend using it, and enter the next room to find a ladder. Start climbing it. At the top, there will be a body with the Seedbed Curse .

Now you can return to the RoundtableHold and talk to the Dung Eater. Once the conversation ends, you’ll receive a key that opens up a cell that stores his real body. To get there, travel to Leyndell sewers, which can be accessed by a ladder inside the well.

The well is found in western Leyndell, and It is marked with the yellow arrow. The fastest way to get there is from the Avenue Balcony site of grace. Go down the stairs and then immediately turn left after you are attacked by a knight wielding a large bow. Jump over the balcony towards the golden Scarab.

Then, going further and jumping down to lower and lower levels, you should find yourself in the place shown in the photo. You have to go to the very end of the corridor, and then jump down into the hole (before that, it is worth visiting the left pathway to unlock a new site of grace).

You’ll reach the sewers. Aside from a few rats, there are three large flowers in front of you. You can go past them without a fight, just get to the end of the corridor and climb the ladder. At the top, watch out for hand-like spiders, especially the largest one next to the item in the center of the room (it is halfway buried into the ground)

After clearing the area, you’ll see the Dung Eater’s cell on the right. The key that you got from him will unlock the cell.

Talk to Dung Eater and choose the dialogue option that makes him leave the prison. You can now return to the Roundtable Hold .

When you go to the room where he was in the fortress, you won’t find him there. However, you’ll find a message that says to go to the outer moat.

You need to reach the area shown in the screenshot. The fastest way to get there is by teleporting to East Capital Rampart site of grace.

Once you get to your destination, talk to Blackguard Boggart. Use up all dialogue options and he will tell you that he senses Dung Eater somewhere.

Restart the location (preferably by exiting the game through the main menu). You can now talk to Boggart again.

After a short conversation, it turns out that Dung Eater is invading your world – you’ll receive another Seedbed Curse and his personal items.

You need to defeat Dung Eater in a duel.

What makes matters harder, is that the opponent is equipped with heavy armor. However, don’t let it fool you – Dung Eater is quite agile. Watch out for his ranged attacks.

If you’re successful, go back to Roundtable Hold and talk to Dung Eater. He will ask you to deliver 5 Seedbed Curses back to his body.

This means that you need 3 more. Start your search by travelling to

West Capital Rampart site of grace. From there, go right and jump down. Head towards the sandy location with wooden structures shown in the photo.

Jump on one of them, then go up, and you will notice a hole in the wall. Go inside – you will find yourself in an alternative version of the Roundtable Hold.

Keep to the right wall until you find a room similar to the one where Dung Eater stays and pick up another Seedbed Curse .

The next item, which you’ll need for the quest, can be found on Mt. Gelmir near the Volcano Manor to be exact. To get to the place shown in the photo, you must have a Stonesword Key .

Go to the Temple of Eiglay site of grace , then continue through the manor.. At some point you will reach a corridor that is guarded by serpent people.

You can ignore them and run ahead. You should reach a room where the enemies are praying. You can ignore them also and instead of fighting, go up the stairs.

After climbing the stairs, turn right. There you will find a corridor. There is a sculpture ahead – you need to insert a key there to be able to get through the fog.

Once the path is clear, you’ll have to jump down and down using metal grates. However, watch out at the bottom, as there are many enemies there that will try to catch you.

In the downstairs room you will find a body with another Seedbed Curse .

The final Seedbed Curse is in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree . The fastest way to get there is from the Prayer Room site of grace.

Move forward while avoiding the soldiers, then go down one floor using the stairs.

Jump on the column and jump down from it to a platform shown in the screenshot.

Moving forward, you’ll see another column that you need to climb and continue up.

The last Seedbed Curse is a little further ahead. You can now return to the Dung Eater in Leyndell.

You’ll find him sitting on a chair. After you give him 5 Seedbed Curse , the screen will dim and you will hear a short monologue.

After regaining control of your hero, take the rune from Dung Eater’s corpse to conclude the questline and unlock an alternative ending.
