In the grim world of Diablo 4, where darkness looms and hope flickers, players embark on the Raising Spirits quest to lift the morale of weary guards in Kyovashad. This seemingly simple task requires more than just words; it demands the right emote to inspire the militia. Discover how to navigate the emote wheel and perform the crucial Cheer emote, a small act that could reignite the fire within those who stand against the encroaching shadows. Will you be the spark that rekindles their fighting spirit?
How to unlock the quest?
To unlock the Raising Spirits quest in Diablo 4, players must first reach the city of Kyovashad after completing the game’s prologue. Upon entering Kyovashad, look for Guard Boza, who is located near the center of the town. Interacting with her will initiate the quest, as she expresses her concerns about the morale of the city guards and requests your help in uplifting their spirits. Once you accept the quest, a blue circle will appear on your map, guiding you to the training area where you will perform the required emote to complete the task.
You need to find the Raising Spirits side quest marker inKyovashad. You will find it in the northern part of the hub.
How to use the Cheer emote?
To use the Cheer emote in Diablo 4 during the Raising Spirits quest, first navigate to the training area where the militia is located, marked by a blue circle on your map. Once there, open your emote wheel by pressing the default key “E” on your keyboard or using the appropriate button on your controller. You will need to scroll to the left tab of the emote wheel to find the Cheer option, as it may not appear in the initial window. Select the Cheer emote, and your character will perform it, successfully completing that part of the quest and boosting the morale of the soldiers.
Go to the place where Militia trains. It is marked with a blue circle on the map.
To continue the quest, you need to open the Emotes window (E on the keyboard or up on the d-pad), which are usually used to communicate with other players (more on this on the How to use emotes? page).
The emote you need is in the first tab of the emote radial menu, on the right (the hands icon).
Completing the quest
To complete the quest “Raising Spirits” in Diablo 4, players must boost the morale of the guards in Kyovashad. After receiving the quest from Guard Boza, head to the training area where the militia is stationed. Here, you’ll need to access the emote wheel by pressing “E” on PC or the up D-pad button on a controller. Select the “Cheer” emote from the options available. It’s important to note that you may need to customize your emote wheel to include “Cheer” if it doesn’t appear by default.
